Pan African Conference BLURB

Heard of the Pan African Conference? Good! This year’s 12th annual conference takes place this semester on October 21 and 22 in Wanamaker Hall. This year’s topic is “Institutional Reform,” focusing on the role of the youth in the changing continent of Africa. The conference will examine the recent revolutions in North Africa and the conflicts in surrounding countries. From here, leaders of the conference will draw the spotlight toward the future to determine and discuss what effect the younger generation will have on the world. With such an intriguing topic, there’s bound to be a large turnout.

Prague Abroad Slideshow/Exhibit BLURB

Dobrý Den! The Prague Abroad is back, as if anyone hadn’t noticed, and working desperately to create an educational slideshow, to which the whole campus is invited. The date for the slideshow is predetermined for Tuesday, November 11. But wait! There will also be an opening reception for a gallery exhibit that will take place from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22. There will be food, great conversation, original art that the students on the abroad created, and the abroad members will be around to answer any questions you might have. At some point during week nine (exact date TBA) there will also be selected readings by the group. This is an exciting time for the group, since they were the first students to travel to Prague on a Prin Abroad. The group is eager to present the community with proof of their devotion to their art and creative writing. They hope to see you all there.
