If you’ve ever left your door ajar in Rackham, you’ve likely encountered an unexpected guest. Her name is Poppi, a lively black-and-white cat with sparkling eyes and an even larger personality. While she is officially the pet of Resident Counselor Tiffiny Randolph, in reality, she seems to belong to everyone in the house. Students refer to Poppi as a “people connector,” effortlessly moving from room to room, fully aware of her warm and welcoming presence. She leaps onto beds, nestles into cozy corners, and makes herself comfortable wherever she goes. Students in the residence say her presence offers solace, particularly during hectic weeks when academic pressures are at their highest. “She has an uncanny ability to appear just when you need her,” said Georgia Golbiw, a freshman living in Rackham. Students say Poppi works effortlessly to transform the atmosphere from a mere house into a true home.
