Brazil: Shooting at Sao Paulo International Airport
In São Paulo, Brazilian police responded to a call about an unidentified gunman that opened fire at the Sao Paulo International Airport on Friday Afternoon. With one person dead and three others that are injured. But police were able to identify one of the fatal victims that was receiving death threats named Antonio Vinicius Lopes Gritsbach, he was getting death threats from a powerful international criminal group. Right now the police haven’t found out how many gunmen are armed and are involved in the attack. But police believe that they are after Gritzbach who recently took a plea bargain and talked about his ties with a criminal organization. Gritzbach was recently called deceased. (ABC)

Nigeria: Children being released from death penalty
On Tuesday, 29 children were released from the death penalty from their unproven participation in protest against their country’s record cost-living-crisis. With children around the ages of 14 to 17, they were overjoyed and happy that they got to go home to their families after their release at a court in the capital, Abuja. More than 70 people were facing charges of destruction of property, mutiny and treason.There were kids that said that they were never involved in the protest and some were taken to Abuja after the police came and arrested them. Nigeria President Bola Tinubu ordered that all the children were to be released and investigate the law agents that were involved in the arrest and prosecution of the children. (ABC)
Pakistan: Record- high pollution sickness
In Lahore, Pakistan, there as been a high record on air pollution that is causing schools to be closed down, people seeking treatments in hospitals for smog-related ailments, and government employees are required to stay at home. Senior minister Marriyum Aurangzeb is urging residents to wear face masks and not to travel if it isn’t necessary. Otherwise there will be a complete lockdown, where no one will be able to get in or get out. Authorities shut down schools in Lahore earlier this week and on Wednesday 18 schools in the surrounding districts are now closed. Vice President of the Pakistan Medical Association Salman Kazmi said” Tens of thousands of patients suffering from respiratory diseases were treated at hospitals and clinics in a week.” Some people are not wearing face masks to protect themselves from the pollution. Argentina : 3 people involved in the death of Liam Payne
After the death of One Direction, 31, Liam Payne on Oct 16, 2024, prosecutors have charged three other people that were involved in Payne’s death. Liam Payne died from falling from a balcony of the Casa Sur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires. One person that is being charged with abandonment of a person followed by death. With this charge it can carry a sentence of five to 15 years in prison. Another person was accused of supplying drugs, including cocaine and was also charged with two acts each of supplying narcotics. The last person that was arrested was a hotel employee who was also charged with supplying narcotics. Even though none of the suspects were identified by name yet, they were still waiting for their court date. (CBS)

New Zealand:
New Zealand Rugby defeated Ireland with a 23-13 win on Nov. 8. Ireland was undefeated until New Zealand beat them. All Black of New Zealand and The Wolfhounds of Ireland have been going back and through for years and Ireland have always come out on top. Ireland have won five out of nine of their games against All Black and their last meet up was in Paris last year. In the World Cup quarterfinal, the All Black disappointed Irish fans and they won 28-24. New Zealand and Ireland have been doing this battle for years. (ESPN)
