Peace activist Emmanuel Jal, a former Sudanese child soldier, gave a talk in Cox Auditorium February 11. Jal came to Principia as one of this year’s Ernie and Lucha Vogel Moral Courage speakers, and delivered his message of peace to an audience of students, faculty, and members of the community through speech and hip-hop performance. Jal described his transformative journey from anger and vengeance on behalf of his family and country to love for his fellow man.
