In the October 9 issue of the Pilot, an article was written about Sustainability Club’s effort for “Free” menstrual products. The club’s adviser, Karen Eckert, ordered the period products for the week of Oct. 14 to be distributed during the drive on Friday, Oct. 25.
During this drive in the concourse, the club collected period products from people on campus, but also gave them out to anyone who needed them, she said. Afterward, they distributed the period products to the restrooms throughout the academic buildings on campus.
Sustainability Club Co President Ronja Bakowsky said they wanted to push the idea that “Sustainability is caring for your environment, but also for your fellow human beings.”
