Members of the administration met with students, Music faculty, and Student Government representatives Wednesday to discuss the future of the choral program. The meeting addressed concerns raised by students during last week’s “Save the Voice Instructor Position” campaign.
College President Jonathan Palmer said he felt the meeting was “positive and productive,” adding that those in attendance discussed several specific solutions that could enable the continuation of the college’s choral program. He cautioned, however, that “a number of pieces would need to fall into place” for the college to continue employing a voice instructor.
Dean of Academics Scott Schneberger and Assistant Dean Joe Ritter will continue to meet with Music faculty members during Spring Break to discuss the future of the choral program, Palmer added.
